The 15th Biennial Conference of Indian Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health was held on 8th to 10th November 2019 at Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh. The theme of the conference was “Child and Adolescent Mental Health: From Intervention to Prevention”. The conference had a very good participation of more than 250 delegates from all over the country. The first day of the conference was dedicated to Continuing Medical Education (CME). The theme of CME was Children the Digital World. The conference was attended by stalwarts in the field of child psychiatry–Dr. Savita Malhotra, Dr. Shoba Srinath, Dr. Satish Girimaji, Dr. Shekhar Sheshadri, Dr. M V Ashok, Dr. Vivek Aggrawal, Dr. Jitender Nagpal, Dr. Rajesh Sagar, Dr. Ruchita Shah, Dr. Henal Shah, from renowned and esteemed institutes of India as NIMHANS, St Johns Medical College and Hospital, Bengaluru, AIIMS, New Delhi, PGIMER, Chandigarh. The presenters were from various parts of India, adding zeal to this prestigious event. The conference started with the Presidential address given by Dr. Adarsh Kohli. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Shoba Srinath on the topic “The Road Ahead, from Intervention to Prevention: Relevance and Applicability”. The PPA Orations of 2019 was delivered in this conference by Dr. Rajesh Sagar on “Child and Adolescent Mental Health: Need to focus on preventive strategies.” The plenary sessions by Dr. Savita Malhotra on Infant Psychiatry and Genetics across Neurodevelopmental Disorder Spectrum by Dr. Satish Girimaji were the pillars of the conference. A souvenir was brought out, which featured articles related to different aspects of disorders of child psychiatry and presenting the change of focus from intervention to prevention in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in India.
